So what is BSL?

BSL stands for Breed Specific Legislation. Laws that affect our rights to own our chosen breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier. These laws can be anything from as simple as mandatory spay and neuter all the way to the banning and execution of these dogs in specific city's and states. In a nutshell, ANY form of BSL is wrong.
While BSL is primarily targeted at the American Pit Bull Terrier, or APBT, it usually also includes many bully breed dogs including American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers or ANY dog that resembles any of those breeds. What's even scarier is that BSL is based on looks, so if the public sees your dog as a "pit bull" then this affects your dog as well! BSL is serious and it CAN happen. Educating yourself and combating it before it comes to your town is what any responsible dog owner should do!
