Description: Up until she was rescued, Tera had led the life of a neglected dog. She lived as an outdoor dog, and was literally fed by the family simply opening an entire bag of food, and leaving it outside for her to eat. When she finally got into a better situation and into an amazing foster home, she was so morbidly obese, a collar could not be kept on her neck - it would simply slip off, as her large Rottie head was too small for her neck. It was terribly sad to see her in such shape. A veterinarian came to her foster home, as getting this poor dog into a car was too much of an ordeal. Thankfully, her major organ functions were still normal - indicating her weight was not due to a health condition, just to neglectfull owners.
Tera has spent a number of months getting back on the road to a normal dog's life. She has a wonderful Rottie temperament, and deserves to go to a home where she will be loved and cared for.
She is living with other dogs, and does fine with them so long as they are not dominant. She does well with both small and large breeds. Ideally, she would live with a male dog who enjoys the company of a canine friend.
Please send an email to victoria_pnwpbr@yahoo.com and we will get you in touch with Tera's foster Mom, who lives up in the Puget Sound.
